Group Improvisation
Students in this class study the fundamentals of tribal style group improvisation and must have completed at least one session of Intermediate Technique. Tribal style improv is a fun and exciting way to hone your belly dancing skills. Learn the basic tribal style steps and comobs as performed by Dandasha, as well as how to lead and follow with cues. This is a great class for anyone who is serious about internalizing the movements and preparing for performance. Practicing improv will help you strengthen your technique, bond with other dancers, and make you a more dynamic performer. Dedicated students may be invited to join Tribe Zanzibar, a student troupe that will perform at various events. Members of Tribe Zanzibar are also required to take an Intermediate or Basics technique class once a week and are expected to maintain a regular
practice of dance and yoga.
