Intermediate  (level 3)

Posture, isolation, and strengthening drills continue. Students learn more advanced technique and combinations, including level changes and layering. Complex rhythms and odd meters are introduced.

Before joining the Intermediate class, students should be extrememly familiar with all the basic steps as taught in Levels 1 and 2, and have a solid understanding of basic Middle Eastern rhythms. Students must also be comfortable transitioning between steps smoothly and be able to effectively isolate movement while maintaining proper arm and hand positions.

Instructor permission is required. If you are wondering if you are ready, ask your teacher. Most students have been taking classes for around a year before joining this level.
