Intermediate
Posture,
isolation, and strengthening drills continue in the Intermediate class.
Students learn more advanced technique and combinations, including level
changes and layering, while continuing to work with zils (finger cymbals).
Complex rhythms are introduced, as well as balancing.
Before joining the Intermediate class, students should
know the names of basic step,
understand the rhythms taught in the Intro and Basics class, perform
smooth transitions between these steps, be able to isolate movement in
different parts of the body, have proper arm and hand positions, and be
able to execute technique on both the right and left sides.
Like
the Intro and Basics class, the Intermediate class is 7 weeks long. Instructor
permission is required.
Return
to schedule.
