Intro to Bellydance (level 1)Otherwise known as Bellydance 101, this class introduces the student to the the basics of bellydance. Emphasis is on proper body alignment, identifying simple Middle Eastern rhythms, increasing overall strength and flexibility, understanding isolations, and developing movement awareness. Over the eight week course, students learn a progressive series of steps and movements. Because we build upon what we learn each week, students must start at the beginning of a session and try to miss as few classes as possible. If a class is missed, students may make it up by attending another class during the same session. All bodies welcome! No previous dance experience necessary. Click here to register. |
