Basics 1


Students must have completed at least one full 8 week session of Intro before taking Basics. Please keep in mind that most students with little or no movement background need to stay in the Intro class for 2 or 3 sessions (an average of six months) in order to develop a strong foundaiton. Practice is always encouraged and recommended. Before enrolling in the Basics class you should know the names of steps and understand the rhythms taught in Intro, as well as be able to isolate movement in different parts of the body. Ask your teacher if your not sure weather or not it is time for you to move up.

Basics 2

Students must have completed at least one full 8 week session of Basics 1 before taking Basics 2. This is for the student who feels comfortable with all Basics 1 technique. Basics 2 is for the students who want more of a challenge as we will focus on building stamina and strength in our movement. It is also great transition before taking Choreography!
